Hamas Confirms Hostage Release Amid Gaza Ceasefire

Hamas has announced the release of four Israeli female hostages this Saturday as part of a broader ceasefire agreement. This move follows the release of three female civilians earlier this week. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest developments.

Details of the Hostage Exchange

• For every female soldier, Israel will release 50 Palestinian prisoners, 30 of whom are serving life sentences.
• Earlier this week, 30 prisoners were exchanged for each of the three civilian women released by Hamas.

Russian-Israeli hostage Sasha Trufanov, kidnapped in October 2023, is expected to be released within 3–4 weeks. Although his health is reportedly stable, concerns remain due to injuries sustained during his abduction.
